How do Affirmation cards work?
There are no set rules when it comes to using your affirmation cards. Use this time to get to know yourself and what feels right for you. If its one card, two cards, three - heck! Even ten. You choose however many you want to read.
Do I have to practice affirmations daily?
As we said, there are no rules. However many studies show that practicing positive affirmations daily (even up to three times daily) can have dramatic benefits on your mindset. Our top tip for making this possible is choosing the same time each day to pull a card e.g first thing in the morning when you are setting your intentions for the day.
Isn’t this all just ‘woo, woo’ and not actually scientifically proven?
We knew you would ask. It sounds all too good to be true. But positive affirmations have been scientifically proven to benefit many aspects of our health; these theories are shown in self-affirmation theory (Steele, 1988). So yes, it has actually be proven and regardless of the science we know for sure - it makes you feel all fuzzy and awesome on the inside. That's enough science for us!
